Question
1: There's no computer image only a blue screen.
ANSWER:
- Verify
that the projector is in computer mode, by pushing the computer,
mode, source or input buttons as applicable.

that the computer is set to the native resolution of the
projector. Set the refresh rate of the computer to between
60Hz (minimum) or 75Hz (maximum), or do Adapter Default
(or Hardware Default on windows NT systems).
- If the
computer is a laptop toggle the laptop screen off.
- If these
do not solve the problem please contact us.

Question
2: The text is fuzzy.
ANSWER:
- Verify
that the computer is set to the native resolution of the
projector. Set the refresh rate of the computer to between
60Hz (minimum) or 75Hz (maximum), or do Adapter Default
(or Hardware Default on windows NT systems).
- If the
computer is a laptop, toggle the laptop screen off.
- If these
do not solve the problem please contact us.

Question
3: The computer image is up, but is partial, or chopped
off.
ANSWER:
- Verify
that that computer is set to the native resolution of the
projector. Set the refresh rate of the computer to between
60Hz (minimum) and 75Hz (maximum), or to Adapter Default
(or Hardware Default on Windows NT systems).
- If the
computer is a laptop, toggle the laptop screen off.
- If these
do not solve the problem, please contact us.

Question
4: The remote does not function as a mouse.
ANSWER:
- Ensure
that the proper cabling is installed from the projector
to the computer. This cabling setup varies from projector
to projector and is best found in the manual of the projector.
- Reboot
the computer once the applicable cables are installed.
- USB is
only supported with Windows 98, Windows 2000, or MAC OS
8.5 and higher.
- Ensure
that the proper mouse drivers are installed, i.e. Serial,
PS/2 or USB.
- For USB
ensure that the USB ports are enabled. Some laptops and
desktops come from the manufacturers with the USB ports
disabled and you must contact the manufacturer to get these
enabled.
- Using the
projector as a remote mouse does not require any special
drivers, the units use standard drivers, i.e. standard USB,
serial, or PS/2 mouse drivers.
- If these
do not solve the problem, please contact us.

Question
5: The projector will not turn on, no fans, no LEDs.
ANSWER:
- Remove
the lamp module from the projector fully. Then replace the
lamp module. This is necessary because the projector may
not be making a good connection to the lamp. If the projector
is not connecting to the lamp the projector will not turn
on. This is a safety feature built into most projectors.
- If this
does not solve the problem, please contact us.

- Install

- Reset the
lamp timer on the projector. Instructions on how to do this
can be found in the appropriate users manual of the projector.
- If these
do not solve the problem, please contact us.

for further information.
[]
Question
10: Will my projector work with a MAC/Apple?
ANSWER:
- Most projectors
are designed to work with any Apple or Macintosh product
that has an external monitor port. This does not apply to
the Apple IMac series since the design of that computer
prohibits the use of external monitor devices, unless specifically
modified to do so.
[]
Question
11: My video does not work or the image does not look right.
ANSWER:
- Verify
that your video device (VCR, DVD player, or otherwise) is
outputting a correct signal by hooking it up to a standard
television.
- Verify
that the projector is in video mode.
- Verify
that the Video Standard is set either to Auto or to NTSC
(U.S. Only). If you are outside the United States please
verify your countries video standard and set the projector
to that.
[]
Question
12: I am doing a Powerpoint presentation with an imbedded
MPG/AVI video and all I get is a black box instead of my video.
ANSWER:
- This is
a problem that originates from the laptop. The TFT active
matrix (flat) screens that laptops use tends to absorb up
to 80% of the signal strength that the video card generates.
This does not leave enough signal for the projector to actually
be able to make out what the image is. So the projector
leaves a blank black box in the place of the video.
- This can
be fixed by toggling the laptop screen off.
[]
Question
13: How can I contact manufacturer's Technical Support?
ANSWER:
Please contact manufacturer
directly or visit their website. Most projector manufacturers
have websites now.
Question
14: What maintenance can I do to my projector to extend the
life?
ANSWER:
- The only
field maintenance that can be done to projectors is rather
simple, most of the projectors have a filter that needs
to be cleaned weekly. This filter can get clogged with dirt
and will restrict airflow internally in the unit which will
cause the unit to overheat. The symptoms of overheating
are either the unit will just shut down after several minutes
of use, or there will be a yellow spot that will appear
on the image and sometimes will spread.
However we do offer complete service plan for most projectors.
Please contact us for the details.

Question
15: My projector turns itself back on when I turn it off.
ANSWER:
- Some projectors
have a a feature in the menu called Auto Startup. If you
are having a problem with this happening, simply go into
the menu, under controls and turn Auto Startup off.
- If this
does not fix the problem please contact manufacturer's Technical
Support. Or send in the projector to us for complete diagnosis.

Question
16: What is a lamp timer?
ANSWER:
- A lamp
timer is actually a device attached to the power supply
of the projector and is independent of the lamp. This timer
is started when the projector lights the lamp and is turned
off when the projector turns the lamp off. This device is
independent of the lamp and does not reset (on most units)
when a new lamp is placed into the projector.
[]
Question
17: My image is keystoned (Trapezoidal).
ANSWER:
- Keystoning
is caused by the literal distance that the light has to
travel from the projector to the screen. If the projector
is pointed at an upward angle the light has to travel farther
to get to the top of the image and will tend to spread more.
This can be fixed by either lowering the front of the projector
or raising the back to make the image perpendicular to the
screen.
[]
Question
18: Power across the world, will my projector work outside
of the U.S.A?
ANSWER:
- Most projectors
are made to run off of any stable power supply in the world.
The only thing that you will really need is either a power
cord that will fit the outlet in the country you are going
to, or an adapter for the plug. These adapters can easily
be obtained at the duty free store in the country that you
are visiting if you can not find one in the United States.
[]
Question
19: What is the range on my remote?
ANSWER:
- Infrared
remotes generally have a range of around 16 feet. This range
is straight line to the projector. You can bounce the signal
off of a screen to the projector but keep in mind the full
distance that the signal travels must be less than 16 feet.
- This distance
can be shortened by any number of things, including fluorescent
lighting, sun spots, etc.
[]
Question
20: Where do I point my remote to make it work?
ANSWER:
- The signal
from the remote needs to be able to reach the receiver on
the projector. Even when trying to use remote mouse functions,
such as forwarding slides on Power Point. You should not
point the remote at the laptop as the signal may not be
able to reach the projector and this will cause a loss or
partial loss of functionality.
[]
Question
21: I can't find the monitor port on my computer.
ANSWER:
- While most
computers have monitor ports, there are some that don't.
Please check with your manufacturer for more information.
